The Midlands Centre for Youth Ministry

The Midlands Centre for Youth Ministry based at St John’s Nottingham wish to appoint a Course Leader (0.6 fte) with particular responsibility for the management and delivery of courses relating to work with Children and Families and to share other tasks of the Centre.

This new post will start on August 1st 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The successful applicant will have a relevant professional qualification at undergraduate or postgraduate level, substantial practice and training experience.
This post is subject to an enhanced CRB check and a GOR for a Christian in sympathy with the values of St John’s.

YFC has a unique opportunity to use sport in an evangelistic role to work with young people in the West Midlands.
Delivering, developing and promoting the Sports Crux program (coaching and cage sessions) in churches and schools across the region. As part of the role the West Midlands Sports Development Officer will be studying for an MA in Sports & Christian Outreach through the University of Gloucester.

Salary: £17,120 - £23,651

Student Youthworker
Highworth Community Church

Are you interested in training for Youth Ministry through the Centre for Youth Ministry (CYM) or similar organisation?

We are looking for an enthusiastic person, wanting to gain practical experience in Youth-work in the large Market Town of Highworth. The successful applicant will build on the existing youthwork in the church and town, as well as working with Swindon Youth for Christ. You will also have the opportunity to develop some of their own ideas and to complete a degree with JNC accreditation in Youth Ministry.

Youth Worker (P/T)

All Saints is a lively Anglican church with an outward focus through Cell groups for adults and children. We have a long term goal of providing or supporting detached youth work in the local community and we have taken some early steps in exploring this.

We need someone:

* With the energy and vision to inspire and excite the young people of All Saints with a passion for Jesus, focusing on the 11-18 age group.
* To co-ordinate and encourage the many volunteers who have a heart for young people in Allesley.
* To flexibly commit 20 hours of their time to the needs of the role including evenings and weekends.

JNC qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
Salary: to £20k pro rata depending on experience.
