Has your youth group done every outdoor activity there is?
Stuck for some new ideas?
I picked up information about a fabulous organisation called Treasure Trails.
Not only does the pack offer you a walking guide to help you get them out in the open air but it also gives you a puzzle to solve - either a treasure hunt, murder mysery or James Bond style spy trail. There are trails in Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
There are also trails for Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Enjoy!

Internet Safety
The Internet Safety Presentation ‘Think You Know – Do You?’ aimed at raising parental awareness of internet safety will be held at Tenbury High School, Tenbury Wells on THURSDAY 13th NOVEMBER 2008. The event will start at 7pm and will finish about 9pm. Radio 4’s The Today Programme will be present and will be seeking to speak with and get comments from members of the audience.
The presentation is not designed or intended for children.
The presentation is an open session and all our welcome. Organiser Simon Davies says:
"I would ask that those wishing to attend email Simon Davies so I can coordinate numbers. "

On the Radio
The young people from mass@Barnabas also known as youthmass recorded the service for Sunday morning on BBC Hereford and Worcester this morning. They're using some of the prayers from my licensing as Diocesan Youth Officer which were AMAZING.
Tune in On Sunday between 7 and 8 or listen again here.
It's particularly exciting as it is the beginning of National youthwork week (1st-7th November) part of which encourages places to let young people "takeover" for a day. Have a look at the National Youth Association page for more information.

Christmas resources
I know it seems rather early but there are some good Christmas resources for churches over at SGMLifewords. Have a look at the audio visual stuff as well as the crafty creations for children including a finger puppet nativity. Don't miss out seeing the liturgy including some great Advent/Christmas themed prayer stations.
There are some other resources here:
Pesterpower leaflet for families at Christmas.
Some ideas from "downunder"
Lots of ideas from over the years at rejesus.
more as I get them!
