Playpark competition

News from the Department for Children Schools and Families:

There is a competition to design your own play area with the chance to win a digital camera.

This could be a good thign to fo with groups or individual young people over the long wet summer!

Film Competition

Advance news of a forthcoming film competition for young people run by Eccelsiastical:

"Ecclesiastical are inviting people to make a two-minute film about the true meaning of Christmas. Films can be shot on a camcorder, laptop or mobile phone and uploaded to a specially created website.
Entrants have the chance to win £3,000 for their church, along with other great prizes, at an exclusive finalists event.

All films will need to be endorsed from either a church leader or a youth group leader which, as a result, they hope will draw new faces into the Church.
This is a fantastic way to raise the Church’s message, support the valuable work already taking place in the community, and reinforce the core spiritual values of Christmas."

Funding opportunity

Any young people aged 16-25 who are looking to set up a volunteer led project could benefit from up to £2500 from the new Vcashpoint scheme from Vinspired, the website for the youth volunteering charity V.
