Practical inspiration

Youth Ministry Course:
Practical inspiration for anyone involved in Christian youth work

Saturday 6 February 2010
Saturday 27 March 2010
Saturday 15 May 2010

Redcliffe's 2010 Youth Ministry Course will be held over three Saturdays between February and May. Each day is designed to provide fresh inspiration for youth workers and volunteers working in a Christian youth ministry context.

Each day includes input from expert speakers, interactive sessions, resources and plenty of opportunity to network.

Saturday 6 February: All together now… Young people and the spirituality of church life
How do you encourage young people to pray, to interact with all ages in the church, not just their youth group, and look beyond themselves to the needs of a hurting world?
Speakers include Joe Knight (24/7 prayer) and Emma Worrall (Underground, Open Doors)

Saturday 27 March: Discipleship with bite (and boots)
How do you encourage young people to get excited about (and sharing) their faith and engage with the Bible. And what are the practicalities of getting them 'out there' on mission?
Speakers include Dot Tyler (Emerging Generation), Fiona Bridges, (Urban Saints) and Mike Frith (Oscar)

Saturday 15 May: 17 again - engaging with youth culture
What's it like being a teenager today? What are the issues and pressures young people face – whether or not they have any church involvement? And what are the 'nuts and bolts' of youth work in an urban, or rural/semi rural context?
Speakers include Ian Henderson (The Message Trust) and Phil Knox (Youth for Christ)

Cost: £18 per day including buffet lunch and refreshments, £50 for all three days if booked in advance

To book:
A leaflet and booking form will be available for download soon.
